   Verse Questions:
        Genesis 1:27

So if He created man after His own kind, does that mean that he is a man? I thought God to be an entity not a human. And how did He make cattle after their own kind if they didn't exist until He made them?

The Bible doesn't say God created man after His own kind; it says that He created man in his own image. While He created animals, fish and birds out of matter, He breathed into man so that man would be a combination of matter and spirit.

God created man in His own image. I view this to mean that we are "like" God in our Nature. That we are intimately connected to God. That we will always "need" God to fill the void in our lives.
Where it says v24 "Let the earch bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind..." I view this to mean that God made every different kind of cattle in the image of its species.
