"God planned long ago to choose you by making you His holy people, which is the Spirits work. God wanted you to obey him and to be made clean by the blood of the death of Jesus Christ." [1 Peter 1:2] NCV Sometimes different versions help with difficult areas. Basically the area you noted is saying that it is the job of the Holy Spirit to call us to be separate. We are made clean because of the shed "sprinkling" blood of Christ. |
