[Genesis 2:7] could be a retelling of [Genesis 1:26] giving more detail or it could be that [Genesis 1:26] describes the creation of the human body, while [Genesis 2:7] describes the infilling of that body with the spirit. |

i believe he was preparing to create man. and then in 2:7 he did. there is just 12 verses in between. |

I believe that this is the same account. The first account in Genesis chapter 1 was in chronological order. This second verse is a narrative of [Gen 1:26]. This is my opinion. |
