I think speaks to our attitudes. It's so easy to go along with other people. As christians we're supposed to be nice and not offend people but that doesn't mean we should go along with people when they start gossiping or bad mouthing what god says is right. |

This entire Psalm reminds me to keep a deliberate and clear focus on Jesus. Especially, when something new and exiting comes along. Strong temptations can lead even a strong beleiver astray, but meditation on this Psalm helps to put God back in the center of my life. |

It was the first psalm I memorized after Psalm 23. I recite it often and meditate on it. Whenever I have fallen, it has helped me get back on track. The promises God makes in this Psalm are awesome...it is straightforward and challenging to the believer. |

I agree Northerlight! The Bible says in Corinthians " the bad company corrupts good character". We must guard the portals of our hearts and souls from the introduction of garbage due to our affiliations. Jesus went in and ministered to the lost, but he did not allow them to push Him into joining them in Sin! |

This is the armor that our heavenly father has provided us. It is up to US whether we take action and absorb the wisdom that is given through the bible. The helmet os salvation and the sword of the spirit is the word of God. |

This verse signifies protection from evil, death principalities, witch craft, hex, communing spirits, e.g. It is a verse that should be part of your prayer every night. |

Sin is at the heart of why we become separated from God and miss out on His blessings. I find it intriguing that this verse refers to walking, standing and sitting in relation to sin. We all have a tendency to sin and sin seems to find a way into our lives no matter what we do. We must resist temptation and find the small narrow road that leads to Eternal Life, but ultimately only Jesus can save us from sin |

We too often listen to the cousel of the ungodly, whether it be at work or when amongst unsaved friends - we will be blessed if we follow the instruction of verse two and rather meditate on the law of the Lord day and night and in that way protect ourselves from ungodly, unwise counsel. |

We are all truly blessed if we choose to be. We are to walk accordingly not by the direction of others but as Christ our Savior requires. |

I find it cool as well that the formula continues into the next verse. God doesn't keep happiness a secret...that's for sure |

God's formula for happiness: Stay in the company of the believers, avoid the ways of sinners, and keep away from the mockers. In other words: what you do, who you do it with and where you do it. Praise be to the Living God. |

Nowhere in Psalms 1 is it inferred that the rich, or the smart, or the pretty are blessed. All we have to do to be among the blessed is to follow the guidelines set forth by God. |
