I like this verse because, at my work, I try to witness to people and tell them about God. So one day a girl who had also worked there, was into Gothic religion. I told her a little about Jesus.
She had told me when she went to church for the very first time in her life, all the preacher did was yell really loud and said "You sinners, Repent! or you're going to go to hell!" so it scared her off, and she said if Jesus was like that, that she was not going to go again.
So I had showed her this verse, and prayed about it. It opened up the doors for her to understand that it's Ok to belive cause you'll have eternal life through him, Jesus Christ, and he came here to forgive us of all our sins.
I am still praying for her, and I know that a seed was planted there in her for the Lord to come in.

It contradicts the popular opinion of Christianity these days, that Christians look down on 'sinners' and we think ourselves better when we have as much or more sin in our own lives. It is through Christ that we are made perfect and not our own works (see [Ephesians 2:8-9]), (thank God) , so that we may have eternal life with our father in heaven. Pretty cool stuff.
